Bhutan is a small country located in the eastern Himalayas, and it is known for its incredible biodiversity. The country is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, including many rare and endangered species.

Flora:
Bhutan's forest cover is over 70%, and it is one of the few countries in the world that is still considered to be a biodiversity hotspot. The country's forests are home to a vast array of flora, including over 5,500 species of vascular plants. Some of the notable plant species found in Bhutan include rhododendrons, magnolias, blue poppies (the national flower of Bhutan), and medicinal plants such as the cordyceps fungus.

Bhutan's avifauna is equally diverse, with over 700 species of birds recorded, including the rare black-necked crane, white-bellied heron, and the Himalayan monal (the national bird of Bhutan). Other notable animals found in Bhutan include takins (the national animal of Bhutan), golden langurs, and serows.

The government has also set aside large areas of land as protected areas, including national parks and wildlife sanctuaries, to preserve the country's rich biodiversity.
