Panchase is actually the name of a hill that is located in the Pokhara region of Nepal. Panchase lies around 2500 meters above overlooking Fewa Lake and offering splendid views of more than 8000meter mountains Daulagiri, Annapurna & Manaslu.
Panchase is a compound word meaning "five seats of the divine mother". "Panch" means "five", the "as" is from the root word of Asana (the Yoga schools of physical posture) meaning a seat or place and the "e(ee)" represents the female gender. The symbol of five, represents an ancient Yoga system in which a person experiences five levels of existence. Three of these levels are thinking, feeling and sensing with the Above and Below completing this symbol of manifestation.
