The best season for a Mustang Jeep tour 2025 typically depends on the region you're exploring. However, spring and fall are often ideal.
Spring (March to May): The weather is usually mild, and you'll see beautiful wildflowers and lush landscapes.
Fall (September to November): The temperatures are comfortable, and the fall foliage can create stunning scenery.

Nepal Tibet Tours & Treks offers the Mustang Jeep Tour, providing an opportunity to experience the Himalayan way of life and witness the unique traditions of the Nepali Tibetan locals. Previously conducted as a camping trek, the Mustang Tour now offers the convenience of a Jeep Tour. Book in advance for the 2024 - 2025 season.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrived at Kathmandu (1400m.)

you will meet on arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu and transferred to hotel. Evening welcome Nepali dinner with culture program. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu

Free day on your own and we make Mustang special permit and necessary trip arrangement. We can arrange your day tour arround Kathmandu city or hiking to Chandagiri Hills to acclimatize before your trip start. Overnight Hotel.

Day 3: KATHMANDU - POKHARA (200km)

After Breakfast 7-8 hrs Drive to Pokhara about 200km by Tourist Bus or private Car / Jeep / van through beautiful scenery of River and countryside. Check in to the Hotel. Free afternoon on your own. Take a walk around Lakeside or you may do boating at fewa lake. Overnight Hotel. (You may fly to Pokhara takes 25 - 30 minutes Flight).

Day 4: DRIVE POKHARA TO KALOPANI (108km / 67miles)

Following breakfast, embark on a 2-hour drive to Kusma, enjoy a leisurely one-hour break near the Kaligandaki bridge (with the option to extend it to 2 hours). Proceed with a 2-hour drive to Galeswor for lunch, followed by another 2-hour drive to Kalopani. The journey encompasses 100 kilometers of blacktop road and 60 kilometers of off-road terrain. Along the route, there are opportunities to explore the Kusma suspension bridge, engage in adventure activities, visit Galeswor, relax at the Tatopani hot spring, and marvel at the beautiful Rupese waterfall. The overnight stay is arranged at a guesthouse.

Day 5: DRIVE KALOPANI TO KAGBENI (2840M)

Start the journey after breakfast, covering 50 to 60 kilometers from Kalopani to Kagbeni. The drive takes approximately 4 to 6 hours, offering stunning views of the Himalayan landscape with snow-capped peaks and lush valleys. The road is part of the Annapurna Circuit, featuring a mix of paved and unpaved sections, with varying conditions. Notable places along the route include Marpha, known for apple orchards, and Jomsom, a significant town. The journey may pass through picturesque landscapes, small settlements, and river valleys. Day 8: VISIT LO MANTHANG (3530m)

Day 9: DRIVE LO-MANTHANG – MARPHA (2743M)

Return to Charang with a 1-hour drive (allowing 2 hours for exploration), followed by a 2-hour drive to Syanbochen for lunch. After lunch, continue with a 2-3 hour drive to Kagbeni, then a 30-minute drive to Jomsom, and finally another 30-minute drive to Marpha. The entire journey from Lo-Manthang to Marpha is estimated to take 6-7 hours by road. Spend the night at a guesthouse in Marpha. overnight Guest House.

Day 10: DRIVE MARPHA TO TATOPANI

Explore the charming village of Marpha in the morning. Afterward, embark on a 3-4 hour drive to Tatopani. Tatopani, nestled in the Kali Gandaki River Valley in the Myagdi District of Nepal, is renowned for its geothermally heated hot springs along the riverbanks. The naturally warm to hot waters, rich in minerals, are believed to possess therapeutic properties, attracting visitors seeking relief for skin conditions and muscle aches. Surrounded by the scenic beauty of the Himalayan foothills, Tatopani's picturesque setting enhances the overall experience of relaxation. Facilities like changing rooms and bathing areas, along with cultural significance and amenities for pilgrims and trekkers, make Tatopani a unique destination, offering a refreshing blend of natural beauty and geothermal benefits. Spend the night at a guesthouse in Tatopani.

Day 11: DRIVE BACK TO POKHARA

Embark on a morning drive after breakfast, covering approximately 3 hours to reach Kande. Continue for an additional hour to reach the scenic destination of Sarangkot. Spend time exploring the beauty of Sarangkot, with the option to have lunch there. Afterward, enjoy another approximately one-hour drive to the picturesque Lake City of Pokhara. Have lunch and take some time to rest and relax. Stay overnight at a hotel in Pokhara.

Day 12: RELAXING DAY IN POKHARA

You can relaxe your full day in Beautiful Lake City Pokhara.

Day 13: POKHARA - KATHMANDU

Drive or fly back to Kathmandu. Free afternoon on your own. Overnight Hotel.

Day 14: KATHMANDU

Free day on your own for shopping, relaxing, hang arrouind the city before fly back home. Overnight Hotel.

Day 15: DEPARTURE

We make your departure from your hotel for your onward journey back home with lots of good memories.

Clothing and Equipments

Certain basic trekking equipment is essential on all routes we described in this site. Depending on the area and season, we will provide you with a comprehensive list of necessities. Here is some recommended Equipments List for trekking in Nepal.

Clothing

1. Boots

Lightweight walking boots. If new one is being bought, “walk then in” to avoid blisters. Also bring spare laces.

2. Track shoes

A pair of track shoes. To wear in the camp at night or when the boot is wet.

3. Jacket

Warm jacket. Fiber fills or down should be adequate. This is especially necessary during winter from December to February. A rainproof jacket with hood or a poncho. Get the one that is guaranteed waterproof.

4. Shirt and Sweaters

Woolen shirts and thick sweaters. During winter months, December through February these items are essential. Thick sweaters can be purchased in Kathmandu. 1 lightweight long sleeved -shirt is particularly suitable for avoiding sun burn.

5. Trousers

A pair of lightweight/ heavy weight trousers. Jeans are unsuitable to wear on treks. Cheap loose cotton pants are available in Kathmandu. Heavyweight trousers are useful higher up in the mountains in the morning and at night. Windproof/ waterproof trousers are necessary on all treks going above 10.00ft.

6. Underwear

Thermal underwear. These are excellent to sleep in at night in the winter months thermal underwear are quite invaluable.

7. Tracksuit

A tracksuit useful for wearing in camp and in the tent. 2 pair of loose fitting long shorts/ skirts.

8. Sleeping Bag

As you do not carry it yourself this may be synthetic or down, but it must be 4 season. As most treks pass through a variety of climatic conditions, a long zip is a good idea. A cotton/fleece liner helps keep your sleeping bag clean. Good sleeping bags are expensive but can be rented easily in Kathmandu (Only for treks starting and finishing there)

9. Sun Hat, SunCream/Block & Lip Salve

Choose a high factor suncream (Factor 20 or stronger) to protect your skin against the sun at high altitude. A combination sunblock/lip salve is ideal for facial protection.

10. Personal First Aid Kit

You should have your own supply of plasters, aspirin, diarrhea tablets and also a comprehensive blister kit. (Please do not give medicines to local people without consulting the trek leader.)

11. Hat/ Glove/ Sandle/ Shocks/ Underwear

a) A woolen hat to wear in the morning and at night. During winter it is an essential item.
b) A sunhat and ensure it has a wide brim to cover the face and neck.
b) A pair of gloves. Leather with lining and woolen are best. c) 1 pair of sandals to wear in the cities and in camp.
d) 4 pairs of thin and 4 pair of thick woolen socks.
e) Underwear” normal quantity and swimming costume, hankies.

Equipments and Accessories

a) Duffle bag or kit bag to carry to gear while trekking
b) Daypack: This is a small rucksack to carry personal requirement for the day e.g. toilet items, camera, film towel, soap, a boot etc.
c) Water bottle.
d) Snow glasses and sunglasses
e) 2-4 large plastic bags to separate clean clothes from dirty ones.
f) 6 -10 smaller plastic bags to dispose garbage.
g) Wallet and /or money belt with compartment for coins.
h) Toiletries with large and small towels. Toilet paper can buy in Kathmandu and some villages in the mountains.
i) Small headlamp and/ or torch with spare batteries and bulbs
j) candles and lighter to burn toilet paper.
k) Snow gaiters essential during wither and all treks going over at other times.
l) An umbrella (optional), which is quite useful to as a sunshade and useful when it rains.
m) Reading materials, camera and film, game items (optional), note book, rubber band, pen and pencil, envelopes, a diary, a calendar, a pocket knife, binoculars (optional), a small pillow or headrest (optional).
