Ghorepani Poon Hill Yoga Trek – 7 days

If you are looking for a short Himalayan trek that combines mountain scenery, local culture, and daily yoga practice, the 7-Day Ghorepani Poon Hill Yoga Trek is an excellent choice. This yoga trek in Nepal follows the famous Ghorepani Poon Hill route, giving you time each day to stretch, breathe, and slow down amid the beauty of the Annapurna region.

Your journey starts in Kathmandu and continues to Pokhara, where many of Nepal’s most well-known trekking experiences begin. You walk from Pokhara to the trailhead, where you pass through rhododendron trees, traditional villages, and terraced slopes. Anyone with a fair degree of fitness may enjoy the well-known trail.

As you approach Ghorepani, the scenery progressively shifts. With each day on the trek, the views of the mountains get more breathtaking, stone steps ascend through thick woods, and local tea houses emerge around every corner. You may enjoy the warmth and generosity for which the Annapurna region is renowned by staying in local lodges along the way.

The trek to Poon Hill before dawn is one of the highlights of this Ghorepani Poon Hill Yoga Trek. You leave the lodge before sunrise and make your way to the viewpoint in time to see the Himalayan peaks illuminated for the first time. You may take in expansive views of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Hiunchuli, Nilgiri, and several other mountains on a clear morning. For good reason, it is one of Nepal’s most photographed vantage spots.

Yoga classes are thoughtfully included in the schedule without detracting from the trekking experience. Before trek, you might start your day with some light breathing and stretching exercises, and after a long day of walking, you could do some evening workouts to ease tense muscles. This trek is appropriate for both beginners and experienced trekkers because the yoga techniques are straightforward and approachable.

As you cross the Ghorepani, you will leave the busy trail behind and continue towards Tadapani through rhododendron and oak forests. You will then follow the trail that descends to Ghandruk. Ghandruk, a traditional Gurung village set against the backdrop of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre. Here, you can spend time exploring the village, walking through its stone-paved lanes, and enjoying a closer look at local life in the Annapurna region.

This Annapurna Yoga Trek is a good option if you want a short trek that combines mountain scenery, local culture, and yoga. The walking days are not overly demanding, and there is enough time to enjoy the views, rest, and take part in yoga and meditation sessions. Whether you are new to trekking or have previous experience, the route is comfortable and enjoyable.

Makalu Base Camp Trek – 23 days

The trek through the Arun and Barun rivers valleys is one of the great wilderness experiences that Nepal can offer. This area is largely uninhabited but there are plenty of picturesque campsites along the route. The trek begins in Tumlingtar and gradually climbs through scenic villages above the Arun River. The river can only be crossed via a spectacular suspension bridge, which leads us the next day to Tashi Gaon, the last Sherpa village on the trail. From here we cross the Barun La (Shipton Pass) before commencing our exposed descent across landslides to the Barun Valley floor.

Makalu Base Camp is now only a day away, and to our left rises the Lower Barun Glacier and the spectacular peaks of Chamlang and Ama Dablam. The goal of our trek lies at the foot of the extensive Barun Glacier. Makalu rises straight in front us, with countless other peaks forming a majestic panorama around our camp. Normally we retrace our steps to return to Kathmandu, however those with mountaineering experience and equipment may choose to cross 2 passes over 6,000 meters ( The Sherpani Col, and West Col) into the Khumbu region. Both routes are of similar duration.

Dhaulagiri Trekking

Dhaulagiri trekking is the adventure round trek in Nepal with camping trek. Dhaulagiri (8,167m) trek provides massive mountains range consisting of fifteen 7000 m peaks. Dhaulagiri is the seventh highest mountain in the world & Dhaulagiri was first climbed on May 13, 1960 by Kurt Diemberger, Peter Diener, Ernst Forrer, Albin Schelbert, Nyima Dorji and Nawang Dorji, members of a Swiss/Austrian expedition.

Next to the Annapurna range in the mid-west with different panorama of giant Dhaulagiri, far remote mixed and wild, cultural experience, great nature, high adventure journey, unspoilt wildlife and vegetation and adventurous photographic destination. Around Dhulagiri (Dhulagiri trek) Just west of Annapurna is the 40 mile wide Dhaulagiri Himal. Dhaulagiri I, the sixth-tallest peak in the world, towers high above the well-trekked Muktinath pilgrim trail up the Kali Gandaki Valley. The vast massif screens the hidden lands of Dolpo to its north, and to the west of it are Nepal’s far western hills. Only to the east along the Kali Gandaki Valley we can easily view the mountain close up, so massive Dhaulagiri with its symmetrical peak and four major outliners remains an enigma along much of its perimeter. Like fabled but restricted Dolpo, the complete month-long trek around Dhaulagiri is only for a handful of hikers.

Rolwaling Valley Trek

Buried between steep ice giants, the Rolwaling Valley is reputed to be the home of the infamous Yeti. We approach the valley through the charming terraced foothills of Tamang and Chetri villages. Once beneath the sacred Gauri Shankar we climb through primeval forests to the Tsho Rolpa Lake. The northern flank of Pachermo, which rises above us, provides the route over the Tashi Labtsa (5755m) into the Everest region.

 Highlights:

Unspoilt mountain scenery, one of Nepal’s highest passes, spectacular views of Cho-Oyu, Everest, Nuptse and Makalu.Rolwaling Valley is the east-west valley below Mt. Gaurishankar (7145m) and just south from the Tibetan boarder. This is totally isolated and culturally diverse area. This is a restricted area but trekking trip can be taken to the area obtaining a climbing permit for one of the trekking peak of this area such as for Ramdung peak. The area is just south from the Tibetan boarder so it is more like Tibetan culture are here. The area contain of cultural and isolated village, glacier lakes and so on.
