  Day 01
  Arrival in Kathmandu

  Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly greeted by our representative and transferred to your luxury hotel in a private vehicle.

  While your check-in is in process, your guide will explain the itinerary, answer any questions, and ensure you are well-prepared for the exciting journey ahead.

  If you arrive in the afternoon, the remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace. You may choose to relax at the hotel or take a stroll around the surrounding neighborhood.

  In the evening, enjoy a warm Nepali welcome with a traditional dinner at a famous local restaurant. While tasting authentic Nepali food, you will also enjoy a colorful cultural show featuring traditional music and dances from across Nepal.

  If your flight arrives later in the evening or at night, the welcome dinner and cultural performance will be arranged for the following day to ensure you can relax after your journey.

  Day 02
  Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour: Explore Kathmandu's Cultural and Spiritual Heritage

  After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, you’ll set out on a fascinating guided tour to discover some of Kathmandu Valley’s most treasured cultural and historical landmarks.

  Your day begins with a visit to Pashupatinath Temple. Pashupatinath temple, situated along the banks of the holy Bagmati River, is Nepal’s most sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

  From Pashupatinath, continue to the historic city of Patan (Lalitpur), renowned for its exceptional Newari architecture, exquisite craftsmanship, and vibrant artistic traditions.

  Later, visit the iconic Kathmandu Durbar Square, once the royal palace of the Malla and Shah kings. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to magnificent temples, ancient courtyards, traditional shrines, and intricately carved wooden buildings that reflect Nepal’s rich history and artistic heritage.

  After a rewarding day of cultural exploration, return to your luxury hotel and spend the evening relaxing at your leisure.

  Fly from Kathmandu to Paro and Drive to Thimphu (2320m)

  After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kathmandu Airport for your flight to Paro, Bhutan, with Drukair or Bhutan Airlines. The flight takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes and is considered one of the most beautiful mountain flights in the world, offering stunning views of the Himalayan range.

  Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, you’ll complete your immigration formalities. Our Bhutanese guide will welcome you and drive you to Thimphu.

  From Paro, you’ll enjoy a scenic drive to Bhutan’s charming capital, Thimphu. This journey takes around 1.5 hours through picturesque mountain landscapes.

  Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to stop at Tamchog Lhakhang, a historic temple built by the renowned Tibetan saint and bridge builder Thangtong Gyalpo. The temple is reached by crossing an iconic iron chain bridge suspended over the Paro Chhu River.

  Upon arriving in Thimphu, you will rest for the remainder of the day at your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may visit some of the city’s most famous landmarks, including the impressive Buddha Dordenma, one of the largest seated Buddha statues in the world, the majestic Tashichho Dzong, which serves as Bhutan’s administrative and religious center, and the National Memorial Chorten. At this revered Buddhist monument, locals gather daily to pray and meditate.

  Day 04
  Thimphu Sightseeing and Scenic Drive to Punakha (1310m)

  After an early breakfast, begin your day with a visit to the National Memorial Chorten, one of Bhutan’s most revered Buddhist monuments. Every morning, locals gather here to walk around the chorten, spin prayer wheels, and offer prayers.

  You will then visit the Motithang Takin Preserve, where you can see Bhutan’s national animal, the Takin. This unique animal is found only in the Eastern Himalayas and has a distinctive appearance, resembling a mix of a goat and an antelope.

  Continue your exploration with a stop at the Jungshi Handmade Paper Factory, where you’ll learn about the centuries-old tradition of producing handmade paper from the bark of the Daphne plant.

  Your cultural journey continues at the Institute for Zorig Chusum, commonly known as the Arts and Crafts School. Here, students preserve Bhutan’s 13 traditional arts, including painting, wood carving, embroidery, sculpture, and traditional mask-making. You will also visit a peaceful Buddhist Nunnery, where resident nuns devote their lives to prayer, meditation, and religious study.

  Then, you will begin a beautiful drive to Punakha, passing through the stunning Dochula Pass at an altitude of 3,050 meters (10,000 feet). This famous mountain pass is known for its 108 white memorial stupas and offers panoramic views of the Himalayas. On a clear day, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the snow-covered peaks.

  Later, you start ascending from the pass. As you descend into the warmer Punakha Valley, you’ll notice the ever-changing landscapes of lush forests, terraced rice fields, winding rivers, and traditional Bhutanese villages.

  Upon arrival, you will visit Punakha Dzong, one of the most beautiful fortress-monasteries in Bhutan. Located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers, it is known for its stunning white walls, beautiful woodwork, and its important role in Bhutan’s history.

  If time allows, you will also visit Wangdue Phodrang Dzong, a historic fortress overlooking the valley. From here, you can enjoy beautiful views of the countryside while your guide shares stories about its history and cultural importance.

  After a day filled with cultural discoveries and spectacular Himalayan scenery, you will then check into your luxury hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening at leisure.

  Day 05
  Drive to Paro and Explore Bhutan's Cultural Treasures

  After breakfast, you will leave Punakha Valley and drive back to Paro. On the way, you will visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress-monastery in Bhutan, built in 1629 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. It is an important place in Bhutan’s history and Buddhist learning. The dzong features beautiful murals, intricate woodcarvings, and a peaceful atmosphere that reflects Bhutan’s rich culture.

  Continuing the journey, you will reach the beautiful Paro Valley, known for its green farmland, traditional houses, ancient monasteries, and stunning Himalayan views.

  In the afternoon, visit the National Museum of Bhutan at Ta Dzong, an old watchtower above the valley. The museum displays ancient artifacts, traditional clothing, religious items, paintings, and weapons, showcasing Bhutan’s history and culture.

  Next, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples. It is known for its peaceful surroundings, beautiful gardens, and deep Buddhist traditions.

  Your final visit will be to Rinpung Dzong (Paro Dzong), a beautiful fortress-monastery famous for its traditional Bhutanese architecture, colorful murals, wooden carvings, and lovely courtyards. It is an important religious and administrative center in Paro.

  In the evening, you will return to your luxury hotel and relax in the peaceful surroundings of Paro.

  Day 06
  Hike to the Iconic Tiger's Nest Monastery (Taktsang Monastery) - 3120m

  After an early breakfast, you will prepare for one of the most unforgettable experiences of your Bhutan journey, a guided hike to the legendary Taktsang Monastery (Tiger Nest). Tiger’s Nest Monastery, situated on a cliff at an elevation of approximately 3,120 meters (10,240 feet), is Bhutan’s most iconic landmark and one of the country’s most important pilgrimage sites.

  According to Bhutanese legend, Guru Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) flew to this cliff on the back of a tigress and meditated here in the 8th century. This makes it one of the holiest places in Himalayan Buddhism.

  It takes around 2 to 3 hours to reach the main viewpoint, where you can enjoy amazing views of the monastery. After that, you will walk down a few steps and climb up to the monastery. Inside, you will see sacred temples, meditation caves, prayer halls, and beautiful shrines. Your guide will explain the monastery’s spiritual significance.

  Later, you will return to your hotel and rest for the remainder of the day. If time permits, you may also enjoy a stroll through Paro Town, where you can find traditional handicraft shops, local boutiques, cafés, and colorful markets. This local market is a perfect place to shop for authentic Bhutanese souvenirs, including handwoven textiles, prayer flags, wooden crafts, handmade paper, and locally produced artwork.

  Fly Back to Kathmandu - Departure

  Today marks the end of your memorable luxury holiday. After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Paro International Airport for your onward flight back to Kathmandu.

  As you leave Bhutan, you’ll carry unforgettable memories of breathtaking Himalayan landscapes, ancient monasteries, rich cultural experiences, and the warm hospitality of the Bhutanese people.
